CHAOS CODE: NEW SIGN OF CATASTROPHE Get ready for high-speed 2D combat with a diverse set of special moves as this game arrives on the Nintendo Switch! Choose from a cast of 16 unique characters, including a government agent, ninja, magical girl, manga artist, and android, each with customizable attacks, movement styles, and color options to suit your style.

Take on six different battle modes, including Arcade, Versus, and Mission Mode, where you can experience each character’s individual story. Survive one battle after another in Survival Mode or fine-tune your skills in Practice Mode. Compete for high scores in Score Attack Mode or complete a variety of missions set for each character in Mission Mode.

Unlock CGs and movies in the Collection Mode and dive deeper into the world of Chaos Code using Chaos Coins earned from various battle modes. Note that this product does not support online play or ranking. The story takes place in a world where human civilization has reached its peak and is expanding into outer space. Arthur Tesla, a scientist, has developed Chaotics, a revolutionary energy source.

But when Tesla mysteriously disappears, leaving behind only the words “CHAOS CODE,” the Earth-Union government offers a massive prize for anyone who can unravel the mystery. As prize-seekers, power-hungry individuals, and those who seek to overthrow the government collide, the fight for the Chaos Code begins.

GAMEPLAY

The game uses a standard 8-way lever and four-button (weak punch, weak kick, strong punch, strong kick) system. Characters can be customized before the fight, such as selecting two “edit special moves” from four possibilities to go along with the character’s built-in attacks. Players can also select between “run” and “step” modes, placing the focus respectively on speed and technical play.

The game makes use of a couple of systems that can quickly change the flow of battle: Destruction Chaos: A high-level super move that, if successfully connected, can eliminate half of the opponent’s life gauge, Exceed Chaos: Place the character into a special status which removes limitations on combos.

MANY GAME MODE

Choose from 6 different battle modes, including Arcade, Versus, and Mission Mode.

• Arcade Mode: Progress through the story, experiencing each character’s tale.
• VS Mode: Battle it out against the CPU or another player.
• Survival Mode: Fight one battle after the other with only one health bar.
• Practice Mode: Set various parameters to help you learn characters’ moves and to practice combos.
• Mission Mode: Take on a variety of missions set for each character.
• Score Attack Mode: Fight against the computer with regulated settings and compete for the highest score.
