Hakuouki Shinkai Reimeiroku The tale of the Shinsengumi’s genesis is recounted by the survivors of a brutal fate that left them clinging to life after the fall of the Tokugawa shogunate.

This epic story is now available on the Nintendo Switch, featuring new elements and enhanced gameplay, enabling players to explore every facet of “Reimeiroku.”

The narrative begins with Ryunosuke, who has lost his mother to illness and is now wandering without any means of support. He is destitute, with no food or money, and is resigned to the prospect of starving to death.

In this moment of despair, he curses the samurai class and their oppressive ways. Years before the beginning of Hakuouki, the Shinsengumi was known as the Mibu Roushigumi.

A wandering young man named Ibuki Ryuunosuke falls in with the group by chance just after they first come to Kyoto, and while grudgingly making friends with the members within, witnesses the dawning era of the Shinsengumi.
